Sisterhood: Part 1

A friend added me to this group on Facebook, Saree Speak, in 2018 knowing how much I love sarees. I was happy to be in the group with ladies who were equally fond of six yards. Little did I anticipate that the common interest would build bonds that reached across continents. Today, after just 3 years, I have made not just friends but sisters across the globe.
I wonder frequently what I did other than share what I know to earn so much love from so many lovely ladies? I don’t have the answer. And I may never have the answer. All I know is I am blessed to receive this unconditional love from all corners. From big hearted sisters who I have not met in person and don’t even know if I will have the privilege to meet. For me just the emotion is plenty.   Gifts feel like a burden. They truly overwhelm me. So I always insist on no gifts when I meet family or friends alike. If I am lucky they listen.
One sister would not take a no from me and custom ordered this hand painted mural on a Kasavu from her home state and had it shipped to my address in India when she knew I was going there. Sure enough it was waiting for me when I reached there.
A kasavu is pristine to begin with. When you get a hand painted Radha Krishna on it,the splendor is doubled. And when such beauty is bathed in love from a sister it becomes priceless!
I draped it today with much gratitude to her !
