Vidarbha:Part 16

 

Here is my Vidarbha tussar in a sandalwood shade with a haldi color border. It has natural dye Bagh print all over . The woven border is lined by a saw tooth pattern and hence called Karvati kinar.

Vijayalaxmi Chhabra Di has written extensively on this weave and has an unmatched collection of these as well. I promised her I would drape mine in support of her initiative one time and I did.

Matched it with an ikat blouse from Odisha and a necklace with a sun pendant I had picked in Cairo .
