Arvin wildflowers Day 2

Your company is like being in the midst of flowers…..

Your talk is soothing like the flowers ….

So Sunday plans were in place by Saturday afternoon. All girls( six of us, of which three are my colleagues) were to meet at one place at 10 am and carpool. 

I wrapped up my weekly Sunday Upanishad zoom satsang and got ready. Connie had asked us to bring good hiking shoes, hat and  wind jacket. I faithfully carried these with me , though I knew eventually these are not things I would use 😃. Even tough hikes at Yellowstone and other National Parks I have always done in my sandals. I can tolerate cold and usually don’t make use of jackets. They are unnecessary extras. 

When I reached my friend’s home everyone had parked their cars and were loading their things in the trunk. They asked me to drive because I knew the roads. Off we were on the freeway in no time. 

Once we reached the site of the flowers everyone took out their hats and jackets and walking sticks etc. I didn’t bother about the hiking shoes or jacket but did briefly wear the hat before putting it back in the car. 

We hiked up a hill and lo and behold ! The view from there was even more spectacular than I had seen the day before. Six women and picturesque location! You can imagine the time it took us there with group and individual pictures and laughing about anything and everything. 

Climbing down the hill we walked into the gorge I had been to yesterday. More laughter, banter and several pictures later everyone became aware that they are hungry. I was again the designated driver and drove back to town, this time taking a different route. Everyone opted for a Mexican restaurant. It was past 1:00 pm when we got there. 

Back home before 3 pm dived into cooking mode, got dinner ready before taking time to unwind.

Saree today was a peach colored linen tissue with gold buttis,borders and pallu.
