Movie night : Jhund

 

Saturday was a three saree day. Returning home from the mountains relaxed at home with tea. Our son was home and looked up what movies are playing. My husband is a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan. As soon as he found out the new movie Jhund is playing in the theaters he jumped at it. By then I had already changed out of the kantha saree. Here we go again ! This time it was a cotton from Assam in burnt orange color with green and white thread work on pallu and buttis.

The movie theme I found very inspiring but editing could have been so much better. Part of the storyline where a rural father is going place to place to complete formalities so his daughter can get a passport and participate in the international soccer tournament pulled at my heart strings. I found myself crying as I remembered my father.
