Sequoia National Park: Day 2
The aura in the midst of the giant sequoias is something that needs to be experienced. It cannot be put into words. Close your eyes and take in the fragrance emanating from these 2000+ year old grand trees. Feel the cool fresh air caress your face and arms, more so when the breeze gets playful. Sit on a rock and watch the clouds glide across the bluest of skies or take in the sweet chirping of the birds. Stay up to see the sky light up with a million stars, much denser than you may have ever seen. Watch the crescent moon rise in the wee hours of the morning. A few hours later see the golden rays of the sun brighten the snow covered peaks around the valley. And in between these two events notice how the silhouettes of the trees transform into fuller and colorful forms. The silence of the divine moment is politely interrupted by the sound of flowing water from the snow melt. You may have to follow the sound for a short distance to catch a glimpse of that pristine water streaming between the woods. Just a day or two can fill all your senses with wonder and transform you like nothing else ever could.
The saree: a pure pashmina weave with Ari and Tilla embroidered paisley on corners of the pallu. A floral cotton blouse in contrast color complemented the otherwise plain saree.
