A Hike in Breckenridge Colorado: Part 3

A Hike in Breckenridge Colorado: Part 3

Yesterday we took a very short trail near the railway museum in Breckenridge. An artist has donated his creations made out of recycled wood to the city and they are on display here. There was rain forecast and we hurried as the forecast began to show every sign of being accurate.

Saree is a natural dyed cotton silk hand printed Kodalikaruppur revival design. This was once upon a time made for the Maratha Royals in Thanjavur and it’s making followed a much extensive and elaborate process. The revival version is much simplified.
My saree is dyed using dried marigold flowers. When I first got the saree there were remnants of the dry flowers over the fabric. It is one of a kind textile.
