A Hike in Breckenridge Colorado: Part 5:

Yesterday’s outing was to Frisco. This time Minal loaded 2 bikes on the back of the car. We drove from Breckenridge through the main street in Frisco to the parking lot overlooking interstate freeway 70. There we unloaded the bikes from the stand and put on our helmets( Minal and me) before taking off on the specially paved bike path. This is an uphill path that takes to the Vail Pass, about 9500 feet elevation. On the way is Copper Mountain, about 5.6 miles from where we started. The path runs along the Blue River. Minal made it to Copper Mountain. I turned back 2 miles into the road. Abhay walked on the trail while we biked. Mom chose to stay in the car. It was a beautiful day.

The only day in our 10 days vacation when I abandoned a saree for shirt and trousers. The new vest proved very useful to carry phone and water.
