The Four

 The Four:

Shri Krishna tells Arjun that there are four kinds of people who reach out to HIM.
Shri Krishna stands for the Absolute Reality of the Universe. Arjun represents a mortal, identified with his physical appearance.

What becomes an excuse for a mortal to reach out to something higher than himself?

Extreme Troubles/Fear/Insecurity
Curiosity
Expectations
Love

The first three excuses may be the starting points to reach out. But they can only take one so far.

Why?

Because their objectives and/or tools lie within the boundaries of the universe. Whereas the One they are reaching out (for achieving the goals) stands outside the boundaries of the universe.

The only means to go there is through love. Love is the only means that gives the strength to sacrifice. Sacrifice entails lifting a claim to everything that falls within the boundaries of the universe. The moment everything is let go, miracles happen.

Love is also the only reason any one would want to stay with someone forever without wanting anything in return.

That is the reason why the troubled ones, curious ones and hopeful ones may go see God, but not get to know God. Only the one who goes out of love, seeking nothing, owning nothing, does not just meet and know The Real One, but merges into that One, never to return to the orb of the universe.

It is kind of cool to realize the truth and then go find that it has been documented quite precisely in the Bhagwad Gita. I and my dnyani bhakt are One. That’s the statement in the Gita from the mouth of Shri Krishna. Fools think I am a mortal, he says in another place. You are ignorant to think you are the body, he tells Arjun elsewhere. The Vedas independently say, Tat Tvam Asi. That Thou Art.

If you add 2+2, you get the picture. Delete the body from the equation of you and your loved one. Delete the wrong ideas. Delete ownership on anything that belongs to the universe. And you stand tall as Truth itself. Life Itself. Love Itself.

The one you reached out to, you find and keep forever. The rest (आर्त, जिज्ञासू, अर्थार्थी) go back to their home with the small things they came to ask from the Big One.
